Mendeley again

Thanks to Nicki Clarkson for pointing me to this link http://blog.mendeley.com/start-up-life/how-our-name-evolved-from-b-movie-monster-to-mendeley/
so I now know why it's called Mendeley, i.e. based on the names of two scientists:  Dmitri Ivanovich Mendeleyev (alternatively spelled Mendeleev), who developed the periodic table of elements, and geneticist Gregor Mendel. I much prefer their original idea of calling it “Literacula” because the creators "imagined how our software would sink its teeth into literature and automatically (supernaturally?) suck the metadata out of it.”
